When Parents are the Problem
— Finding Better Ways —
As clinicians, when we work with children and adolescents, we also work with the parents. Our effectiveness as clinicians could be improved if we could address some of the issues we see in poor parenting and help the parents to find better ways of dealing with difficult situations. This hands-on workshop will review different styles of parenting, where the problems come in, and tactful but effective ways of addressing these problems with parents. You will leave this class with many techniques you can use in your own work with children and adolescents.
