Bouncing Back: New Perspectives on Resilience
Psychological resilience typically refers to the ability to regain emotional balance and stability after encountering stressful or traumatic events. Participants will learn how emotional maturity, positive attitude, and creativity influence this life skill. Additionally, recent studies and scientific evidence will be shared that expand our conventional understanding of resilience and demonstrate the need for mindful strategies for changing our relationship with problems.

|About the Presenter:|
Todd is an artist and co-founder of The Giving Tree Band, a psychology graduate of Georgetown University and a certified addiction counselor and mindfulness instructor with 16 years of clinical experience with Linden Oaks Behavioral Health. As a musician, counselor, speaker, author and life-long student of meditation, Todd works fervently to educate individuals, organizations and communities on the benefits of healthy and mindful living. He draws upon unique experiences from encounters with prominent scientists, artists and spiritual leaders along with international concert tours to bridge cultures and point the way to a brighter future.
