This seminar reviews the common causes, warning signs and risk factors for suicide. Attendees will be presented with a suicide lethality assessment tool and learn how to administer and score the tool in clinical settings. Protocols for intervention after the test has been scored are discussed.

About the Presenter:

Eric Ward

Dr. Eric Ward is the Executive Director at Family Counseling Service. He has nearly 30 years of experience in behavioral healthcare, working in community mental health, hospitals, and addiction treatment programs. He teaches crisis intervention locally and nationally, including crisis theory, suicide assessment and intervention, and psychiatric commitment. He and his wife Kelly have 3 beautiful daughters.
