| Presenter Name: | Danielle Anderson |
| About the Presenter: | Danielle is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a master’s in Social Work from Aurora University. Before joining Family Counseling Service in 2018, Danielle worked eight years as a therapist at an outpatient substance abuse treatment center–primarily working with adolescents and adults with dual diagnosis concerns, mandated to treatment by court, DCFS, or other entities. At FCS, Danielle is the MISA Program Supervisor and serves as the treatment representative for Kendall County Drug Court and Kendall County Mental Health Court. Danielle facilitates psychoeducational groups for adolescents and adults through the MISA program, Partner Abuse Intervention Program, and at Kendall County jail. She is also a trained SMART Recovery facilitator and leads a weekly meeting on-site at FCS, an available resource for both clients and community members to gain support for any type of addictive behavior. These experiences have provided Danielle with insights into the complexity of both addiction and domestic violence and the role each plays in the other problem behavior. She looks forward to sharing this information with you all and hearing your own experiences in addressing these concerns with the clients you serve. |
