We have answers to every question you could possibly ask!

Ok, not really. But…. There are a LOT of people who work at Family Counseling Service, and they have a LOT of experience working with clients from a wide array of backgrounds. We’ve been in the helping business for nearly 100 years. Chances are, if you’ve got a problem you need help with, or a question about mental health, we’ve probably run into it before.

More than ever, people are beginning their search for answers online. We know that a lot of people just like you visit our website looking for suggestions for yourself, a friend or family member, or just to find an answer to a question that’s puzzling you. Our hope is that you find the answers you’re looking for; and to help you do that, we’ve asked our staff to start writing.

Every month, we will add blog entries to this section of our website. Some months it will be every week, others it may just be two or three times in a month. Our focus is on patient care, so that always comes first.

We’ve already been working hard to get articles ready for you. You’ll find information about counseling, psychiatric medication, addiction treatment, even tips on how to handle remote and in-person learning as a parent. One of the benefits of having more than 60 behavioral health clinicians is that we rarely run into a problem with which someone on our staff does not have experience. That means you get the benefit of literally hundreds of combined years of experience, all here at your fingertips.

We encourage you to subscribe to this blog; if nothing else check back frequently. We’ll also be posting links to the blogs on our social media pages, so you can follow us there too. We especially encourage you to reach out to us if there is information you’d like to see on these pages. Ask us questions…we’ve got answers!

When you’re done reading here, take some time to look around the rest of our website. One of the biggest challenges we have is that so many people in the wonderful communities we serve don’t know we are available to help. Now, more than ever, people are struggling with mental health. Nine months of isolation and social distancing will do that. Chances are, you have a family member or friend who could use our services. Maybe you do as well. We want to make sure that every person who is need of mental health care has access to the right services.

So, my last suggestion is to share this blog with someone you know who needs something we offer. Consider it your gift to them. Even if they read this blog and know help is out there, it might be exactly what they need.
